Design a day that fits your passions

Community Day Services

Community Day Services (CDS) is more than a program; it’s a pathway to learning, connection and growth where each person shapes their own day by making choices that reflect their interests and personal goals. Activities include community outings, creative expression and opportunities to build life skills in a supportive, inclusive environment.

What a Day Looks Like

Community Day Services provides a supportive environment for personal growth, fostering independence and social connection.
Our signature Glidepath Curriculum guides group learning and individualized activities, with new topics introduced quarterly. We leverage technology, including computer labs, Wi-Fi, and iPads, to help participants explore interests and stay connected.
Creative expression is encouraged through Visibility Arts, a welcoming space for making and sharing art. Each day presents opportunities for community engagement, such as volunteering, visiting local sites, and building meaningful relationships.

CDS Through the DD Waiver

Community Day Services supports adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD), including those with autism, sensory sensitivities and communication challenges. Sometimes referred to as an adult day program or day services, CDS provides welcoming, accessible spaces that encourage learning, connection and inclusion. Locations are available across Chicago and the northern suburbs, including Lincoln Square, Norwood Park, Evanston and Mount Prospect.
