Salary: $57,000–$59,000/Year
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 a.m-5:00 p.m. (flexible based on client needs).
About the Role:
The Mental Health Professional (MHP) supports adults with mental illness and intellectual/developmental disabilities. In this role, you will help create and carry out treatment plans, provide support in the community, and offer case management services.
This position involves working in community-based settings with flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, based on client needs. The MHP reports directly to the Division Manager of the Behavioral Health Clinic.
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide supportive counseling, including help with coping skills, goal setting, problem-solving, and self-advocacy
- Assess client strengths and needs
- Create and carry out person-centered treatment plans
- Document all services, progress, and assessments in a database following DHS regulations and agency policy
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy, as well as community support and case management
- Follow all DHS, HFS, HCBS, and Medicaid regulations, along with agency policies
- Complete other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in counseling, social work, psychology, education, or a related human services field OR
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with at least 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting under a QMHP
OR - High school diploma or GED with at least 5 years of clinical experience in mental health or human services
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background checks
