About the Role:

Registered Behavior Technician brings quality, community-based services to adults with disabilities with the extraordinary ability to change lives and lead others to do the same. All Registered Behavior Technicians are required by Search360 to participate in Direct Support Professional (DSP) training courses and obtain their official certification to work with people in the Community Living program.

Supervision is available from a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst when available.

This position reports to the Community Living Coordinator.

Job Responsibilities: 
  • Assist people with skills acquisition, behavioral intervention support, implementation of proactive strategies from Behavior Support Plans, and activities of daily living
  • Assist with the planning and participation of various activities within the community, which includes driving people to various destinations
  • Actively engage with people by facilitating meaningful activities
  • Assist people with medication administration and maintain documentation in accordance with DHS Rule 116
  • Maintain direct and continuous supervision of people at the program site and in the community to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
  • Follow the Personal Plan, Implementation Strategy, Risk Assessment, Behavior Contract, Behavior and Skill Acquisition Plan, Sexual Education plan, diet orders, and the goals and outcomes established within all of these documents for the current period
  • Maintain the physical environment, grounds, and vehicles according to Search standards for cleanliness and order during the shift
  • Follow established cleaning schedules at your work site to ensure the therapeutic environment is maintained to Search360’s high standards
  • Demonstrate knowledge and consistent usage of the proper cleaning products and materials for assigned cleaning tasks
  • Present in a professional manner as a representative of Search360 to family members, guardians, community members, representatives from affiliated agencies, and all other stakeholders
  • Maintain compliance with personnel policies as stated in the employee handbook
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Corporate Compliance policy, including the employee work rules and state/federal regulations related to services provided by Search360
  • Maintain daily documentation and recordkeeping
  • Complete incident reports according to policy
  • Follow vehicle safety procedures, including completing vehicle maintenance reports as requested
  • Demonstrate basic computer proficiencies
  • Attend all required trainings and meetings as scheduled
  • Demonstrate respect for program materials and furnishings
  • Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor
Minimum Requirements: 
  • Registered Behavior Technician certification by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to pass the S-TOFHLA
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs., and perform basic physical moves such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting,
  • Possess and maintain a driver’s license and reliable transportation to travel between work sites
  • Ability to obtain and maintain PACE transportation certification
  • Successful completion of the Direct Support Professional Training, CPR and First Aid Training, Medication Certification Training, and De-escalation Training, including physical management, and the ability to maintain these certifications on an ongoing basis
