Planet Access Part-Time Sales Associate

What You’ll Do:

• Sell high-quality, environmentally-conscious garments and locally-made and sourced gifts
• Operate the POS system and handle cash/credit transactions
• Keep displays looking their best & ensure the store and stock areas are clean and organized
• Receive, process, and organize merchandise
• Maintain an atmosphere of excellent service in a hub for joyful styling and inclusive fashion

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs
• Ability to perform basic physical moves such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting
• Prior boutique retail experience preferred
• Availability to work weekend and evening shifts

Job Responsibilities:

Retail Sales:

• Welcome customers into the store and assist with questions
• Welcome customers into the store and assist with questions
• Create an atmosphere and culture where guest satisfaction is the primary goal of all sales associates
• Knowledge of the various vendors and products sold at the store
• Knowledge of opening and closing procedures
• Recommend clothing and items to customers in order to enrich the shopping experience
• Process sales transactions, operate the POS register, resolve return issues and process online orders
• Responsible for achieving sales goals
• Make customers aware that Planet Access is a social enterprise of Search360 highlight that supporting Planet Access is supporting the mission of Search360. 

Merchandise and Inventory Management:

• Maintain neat and orderly merchandise displays throughout shift
• Replenish and maintain stock on the sales floor throughout shift
• Process shipments
• Maintain organization of merchandise, store supplies, and break areas
• Maintain accurate inventory through designated programs and procedures, including participating in inventory counts

Cleanliness and Order:

• Maintain the physical environment and grounds according to Search360 standards for cleanliness and order on a daily basis
• Demonstrate knowledge of, and follow, established cleaning schedules at your assigned work site
• Demonstrate knowledge and consistent usage of the proper cleaning products and materials for assigned cleaning tasks
• Demonstrate respect for site/program materials and furnishings

Administrative and Professional:

• Support the Mission Statement and agency values of Search360

• Maintain compliance with personnel policies as stated in the employee handbook

• Demonstrate an understanding of the Corporate Compliance policy, including the employee work rules and state/federal regulations related to services provided by Search360

• Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor
