Planet Access Full-Time Sales Associate

Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $20 per hour
Schedule: Sunday through Thursday
About the Job:
The Full-Time Sales Associate serves as a senior member of the Sales Associate team, combining exceptional customer service with sales leadership and operational support. In addition to delivering outstanding shopping experience and achieving individual sales goals, this role partners closely with the Store Manager to implement sales strategies, drive store performance and create a positive, customer-focused culture.
The Full-Time Sales Associate leads by example on the sales floor, coaches and supports fellow Sales Associates and serves as the primary point of contact during assigned shifts when the Store Manager is unavailable. This position also plays a key role in inventory support, store operations and promoting Planet Access’s mission as a social enterprise of Search360, making it an ideal opportunity for an experienced retail professional ready to take on greater leadership responsibilities.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist customers and drive sales.
- Operate the POS system and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Keep displays organized and process new merchandise.
- Ensure the store stays clean and welcoming.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry up to 44 lbs
- Able to kneel, bend, reach, twist, and stand for long periods
- Retail or boutique experience preferred
- Proficiency with retail POS systems (Lightspeed a plus) and Microsoft 365
- Availability to work weekend and evening shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Sales and Marketing:
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and respectful way
- Serve as a senior leader on the sales floor by modeling exceptional customer service, product knowledge and selling techniques
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop and implement sales strategies that drive revenue, customer engagement and achievement of store sales goals
- Support daily, weekly and monthly sales initiatives while helping maintain accountability for individual and store performance
- Lead by example through active selling, vendor knowledge and personalized product recommendations
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Sales Associates during assigned shifts when the Store Manager is unavailable, providing guidance, answering questions and assisting with operational decisions
- Create an atmosphere and culture where guest satisfaction is the primary goal of all sales associates
- Serve as leader in opening, closing and inventory management procedures
- Process sales transactions, operate the POS register, resolve return issues and process online orders
- Make customers aware that Planet Access is a social enterprise of Search360; highlight that supporting Planet Access is supporting the mission of Search360.
Cleanliness and Order:

- Maintain the physical environment and grounds according to Search360 standards for cleanliness and order on a daily basis
- Demonstrate knowledge of, and follow, established cleaning schedules at Planet Access
- Demonstrate respect for site/program materials and furnishings
- Demonstrate knowledge and consistent usage of the proper cleaning products and materials for assigned cleaning tasks
Administrative/Professional:
- Support the Mission Statement and agency values of Search360
- Maintain compliance with personnel policies as stated in the employee handbook
- Demonstrate an understanding of the Corporate Compliance policy including the employee work rules and state/federal regulations related to services provided by Search360
- Complete other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
