Location: Planet Access Store, Lincoln Square, Chicago, IL
Employment Type: Part Time
Pay: $18 per hour
Schedule: 14 hours per week; includes evenings, weekends, weekdays and availability around Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
About the Job:
We are looking for a part-time Sales Associate to join our team at Planet Access!
In this role, you will help customers, support sales and keep the store organized and welcoming.
At Search360, our work is about more than retail. We support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and your role helps support that mission every day.
What You’ll Do:
- Assist customers and drive sales.
- Operate the POS system and handle cash/credit transactions.
- Keep displays organized and process new merchandise.
- Ensure the store stays clean and welcoming.
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to lift and carry up to 44 lbs
- Able to kneel, bend, reach, twist, and stand for long periods
- Retail or boutique experience preferred
- Available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Key Responsibilities:
Customer Service & Sales :
- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and respectful way
- Help meet sales goals
- Answer questions and handle concerns professionally
- Operate the POS system and handle cash and card transactions
- Learn about products and store procedures
Merchandise & Inventory:
- Keep displays neat and organized.
- Process new merchandise and shipments.
- Help with inventory counts and tracking.
Store Appearance:
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming store.
- Follow established cleaning routines and store standards.
- Take care of store materials, fixtures and displays.
Professional Expectations:
- Support Search360’s mission and values.
- Represent the organization in a positive way.
- Follow company policies and store procedures.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
