Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Responsibilities:

• Provide support with personal self-care tasks such as toileting, eating, grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Contribute to the planning and participation in various community activities and medical appointments.
• Offer necessary transportation support to ensure residents’ participation.
• Engage actively with residents, implementing meaningful activities throughout their day or evening.
• Understand and follow Individual Service Plans, actively contributing to the achievement of established goals for the current period.
• Support residents in various recreational activities, programs, and goal-oriented initiatives.
• Provide supervision and attention throughout the day to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
• Be committed to providing the highest quality of life for our residents, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and/or GED
• The ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs. and perform basic physical moves such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting.
• Required valid driver’s license.
• The willingness to be certified to drive 10-16 passenger vehicles is required. We provide the training and certification process.
• Flexibility to work weekend shifts and potentially some holidays are required.
• 2 weeks of full-time paid training is provided and required to become certified as a DSP (regardless of previous training).
• The ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification, however, training is provided.
• Must meet federal (I9) and State requirements (i.e.: fingerprinting, background check, etc.)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be a certified driver through PACE Vanpool.
