Keystone Alliance

Keystone Alliance was created through a partnership between Search and Glenkirk. It is a shared services platform designed to strengthen both organizations and expand what’s possible for the people and communities at the heart of our missions.

Stronger Together

At Search360, we believe collaboration makes us stronger. In 2009, we joined forces with Glenkirk, a peer nonprofit with a shared mission and values, to tackle the growing challenge of delivering high-quality services in an increasingly complex and resource-constrained environment.

That partnership became Keystone Alliance, a collaborative structure that consolidates essential back-office functions into a shared home and strengthens both organizations so we can focus on the people and communities at the heart of our missions.

Keystone Alliance provides integrated support across:

Keystone was built on a simple but powerful belief: nonprofits are stronger together. That belief is at the heart of Keystone Shared Services, a platform built and refined over 17 years within our own organizations and now available to other I/DD providers across the sector. 

Keystone works alongside organizations to strengthen financial operations and the technology systems that support them, connecting day-to-day execution to the insight needed to understand performance, manage risk, and guide long-term strategy. We believe that when nonprofits strengthen and sustain their missions, the ripple effect reaches every person and community they touch.

Search for Adventure In Disneyland

At the end of May, a Search for Adventure (SFA) group traveled to Disneyland in California for four days of fun and exploration. A crew of six people supported by Search, along with Search and Toad&Co. staff, spent their time braving rides, taking in the wonders of the park and enjoying the beauty of California.  For many people we support, Search for Adventure trips are their first opportunity to travel by plane or visit another state. Search360 Advocates for Disability Services in Springfield 

In May, Search360 made two trips to Springfield to advocate for stronger disability services and increased wages for Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). Alongside statewide partners, staff and people supported by Search360 met with legislators to share why these investments matter and how they impact everyday life for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD).  On May 5, Search360 joined hundreds of advocates from the They Deserve More coalition at the Illinois State Capitol for an Advocacy Action Day. Autism Acceptance Month

April is National Autism Acceptance Month  It has been more than 50 years since April was officially recognized as National Autism Acceptance Month in 1988, following its introduction in 1970 by Dr. Bernard Rimland, an autism researcher, to coincide with his son‘s birthday and his inspiration to begin autism research.   What began as an effort to increase public understanding of autism has grown into a broader movement centered on acceptance, inclusion and meaningful support for people with autism and their families. Take Action Now: Support Key I/DD Bills by Submitting a Witness Slip  

The deadline for House Bills to move out of committee is Friday, March 27. Several bills supported by the Illinois Association of Rehabilitation Facilities (IARF), which represents community-based providers across Illinois, have been posted for hearings and may be called for a vote at any time through next Friday.  We are asking advocates to show strong support by submitting online witness slips as a “Proponent.”   Each slip takes less than two minutes, just about 10 minutes total to show legislators that these bills are a top priority for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and the people who care about them.
