New Grant Expands Access to Professional Clothing for Job Seekers

In recognition of National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), Search360 is celebrating its continued partnership with Rivers Casino Des Plaines through a new $10,000 grant supporting people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) as they prepare for employment.

The grant funds a new initiative within Search360’s Career Services that will offer a work-ready wardrobe and job-readiness packages to help job seekers feel confident and prepared for interviews.

The cost of professional clothing can create a barrier for people entering the workforce. Career Services Lending Closet offers participants affordable access to essentials such as polos, button-down shirts, slacks, shoes and ties in a variety of sizes. Participants can borrow or rent clothing for interviews at Rivers Casino and other employers throughout the community, helping them pursue opportunities while building toward financial independence.

First-time job seekers can also receive packages containing hygiene kits, padfolios, pens and other materials to help them arrive prepared for their next opportunity.

Rivers Casino has long been one of Search360’s largest Career Services partners. This new grant builds on that relationship through a collaborative approach to addressing employment barriers and expanding access to meaningful opportunities.

Through Career Services, Search360 works alongside people with I/DD to explore career interests, develop skills and pursue employment aligned with their goals. Support from partners like Rivers Casino helps make those opportunities more accessible.

“Our longstanding partnership with Search360 has allowed us to strengthen our commitment to workforce development by creating meaningful employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Through this collaboration, we continue to champion an inclusive workforce where people of all abilities can grow, contribute and succeed. We are proud to support Search360’s mission through employment opportunities and initiatives like their Career Services Lending Closet,” Rivers Casino Community Engagement and Communications Supervisor Yetzi Navarrete said.

Search360 is grateful to Rivers Casino for its continued commitment to inclusive employment and its partnership in helping people with I/DD take the next step toward their career goals.
